Stephen de Wolf joins DDB
Stephen de Wolf is the new National Creative Director of DDB Australia. He will begin the role in October after returning to Australia from the UK earlier this year.

Colenso BBDO duo move to Deloitte Digital NZ

Deloitte Digital has appointed Colenso BBDO Group Executive Creative Director Dan Wright and Executive Business Director Ahmad Salim to lead the creative practice in New Zealand. Wright assumes the role of Creative Director for New Zealand and Sydney, and Salim is Managing Director of Deloitte Digital Creative New Zealand.

Adam Krass is Chief Digital Officer, Data and Technology at UM
UM Australia has appointed Adam Krass Chief Digital, Data and Technology Officer. He has been Head of Marketing Technology at Annalect of Omnicom Media Group since 2017 and previously Head of Data and Operations at Xaxis of GroupM. He is also a former national group sales manager and state manager at eBay. He holds the position of UM’s Data and Technology Manager, previously held by Maria Grivas, who was appointed CEO of Reprise in April.

QMS Hires Melbourne Fashion Festival Marketing Specialist As Marketing Director
Tennille Burt, head of sales and marketing for the Melbourne Fashion Festival, has been appointed director of marketing for outdoor media company QMS.

Katy Eng to lead OMD Diverse
OMD’s Katy Eng has been promoted to National Director of OMD Diverse, a unit specialized in engaging with culturally and linguistically diverse people, the LGBTQI community, people living with visual and hearing impairments and First Nations communities. Eng has been with OMD for nine years, most recently as Director of Content Marketing for OMD Create.

Enero appoints bank CFO to board of directors
Louise Higgins joins the board of directors of marketing and communications firm Enero. She is the CFO for the Australian commercial and retail division of ANZ Bank Limited. She was Associate Director at Macquarie Bank and COO for Nova Entertainment. Prior to joining ANZ, she was appointed Chief Financial and Strategic Officer of ABC.

Sarah Waladan from Free TV goes to IAB

IAB Australia has appointed Sarah Waladan Director of Policy and Regulatory Affairs with immediate effect. She was responsible for legal and regulatory affairs at Free TV Australia, advising members on communications law, regulatory and policy matters.

SCA appoints former ABC executive
Southern Cross Austereo (SCA) has appointed Melanie Withnall, a former ABC executive, to the newly created role of Head of News and Information. Withnall will be responsible for leading the global broadcast and on-demand news function and implementing a growth strategy to further expand SCA’s portfolio of news, information and current affairs content on the platform. LiSTNR digital form and on the Hit and Triple networks Mr. Withnall previously worked at ABC where she was Director of ABC Radio Sydney.

James Ansell settles in Brisbane with Publicis Worldwide

Publicis Worldwide today announced the appointment of James Ansell as Director of Digital Experience. Ansell moved to Brisbane from Sydney and joined the management team of Publicis Worldwide. In his newly created role, he will oversee a team of technologists, digital designers, developers, UX / UIs and producers. Ansell is stepping down as Customer Partner at USTWO.

Snap appoints first platform security officer

Snap has appointed Jacqueline Beauchere as the world’s first head of platform security. Beauchere comes from Microsoft where she was responsible for online security, overseeing all aspects of the company’s online security strategy. In her new role, she will be responsible for all efforts to raise awareness and continue to strengthen Snap’s approach to security, help advise on the development of policies and guidelines, and initiatives, additional features and tools that can further support safety and well-being. DoubleVerify expands its team
DoubleVerify has named David Shen as Commercial Director in a series of new hires. Shen has over a decade of digital and agency advertising technology experience, working on brands such as Samsung, Nestlé, Amazon and Coca-Cola. Susie Mather joins as Director of Sales with over 20 years of broadcast and digital experience including ViacomCBS UK and Seven West Media. Stuart Kruger also joins as Director of Sales. Kruger spent almost seven years with Unruly in London and Sydney. Neil Anderson joins as a Sales Solutions Specialist with over 15 years of adtech experience. Anderson worked at Google / DoubleClick, neo @ Ogilvy and Lotame. Additionally, Sophia Warren was promoted to Director of Client Strategy after two years at DoubleVerify.

New recruits at Richards Rose

Independent design agency Richards Rose hired six. Roger Hayes joins as senior commercial director, Georgina Akkermans account manager, Melissa Daniels New account director, Paul Leone behavior specialist, Claire McGinley senior account manager and Nurul Arif creative project manager.
