UPDATE: Milk distribution at John Harris High School will now begin at 4 p.m.

More than 4,000 gallons of milk will be distributed over the next few days in the Harrisburg area, thanks to the Coronavirus Food Assistance Program. The program works with the Northeastern American Dairy Association (ADAN), Harrisburg Dairies and Derstins to distribute free milk in the Harrisburg area.

The giveaways will take place at drive-thru events throughout the region. Cars will stop at the designated location and open their trunk. We’ll put two gallons of milk in there for them. There will be no paperwork to complete and you do not have to register in advance. Milk will be distributed on a first come, first served basis until exhausted.

Milk is considered a great way to get key nutrients like calcium, which can support good bone health. ADANE has distributed over 500,000 gallons of free milk since the milk distribution events began in June.
